Richard Parker began his business career in 1975 in the real
estate business by ing, building and selling two Century 21
offices with his mother and partner. That same year he also
began a 17-year career with the United States Jaycees. In 1978
Richard was named The Key Man of the U.S. Jaycees after tying
in previous year as that organization's national winner.
As a national winner he met Cavett Robert, the Founder of the
National Speakers Association, an organization in which Richard
is today a proud member. The friendship with Cavett led Richard
to the Positive Thinking Rally and a career in public speaking,
where he has shared the stage with speakers such as Zig Zigler,
Dr. Norman Vincent Peal and Art Linkletter to mention a few.
In the mid 1980s Richard entered the financial services industry
with the Wall Street brokerage firm Dean Witter. After almost a
decade in the industry Richard founded what would become a
national financial services firm. He built it to over 50 offices
and took it public in 1998. Richard retired fro the financial
services business in 2003.
Richard is the author of four books pertaining to the financial
industry and a fith on Cuba. He has written two licensed
financial seminars taught in colleges, corporations and churches
by several hundred licensed financial advisors nationwide in
1,000 venues yearly.
He is a teacher of teachers, having trained over 2,000
professional financial advisors from all-50 states, Canada and
Japan through he powerful 2-day training programs including
Practice Masters - teaching financial advisors how to master
their practice.
Richard's depth of knowledge in the financial industry is
obvious but his true talent lies in teaching the complex, in an
easy to understand manner, with his trademark slow southern draw
and at times a healthy dose of humor.
